Shrine exterior - night

Since 1934 the Shrine of Remembrance has been illuminated at night through the use of large external lamps. The Shrine lighting towers were installed in 1932 and more recently upgraded to enhance the night-time visibility of the Shrine. The 2018 lighting project results in significant environmental benefits; cost savings; enhances safety; and, supports the continued preservation of this historic Melbourne landmark.
