A grinding stone is also known as silavta lodhi in Khadar and Ahirwal regions of Haryana. The stone with which the spices are crushed is called lodhi whereas the stone on which spices are ground is called silavta. This silavta was circular in shape and was carved from a single stone with three supports at the bottom for stability.
