Skirt of z a Bronowice Małe resident

A long skirt made of tybet, sewn from six parts of fabric. Creased at the waist and sewn into a narrow canvas binding. The bottom of the skirt is decorated with tapes made of golden metallic threads.

Tybet – a factory-made fabric made of twill-woven worsted wool of Tibetan sheep or goats. The oldest tybets were thick, heavy, and rough to the touch. Thinner and more delicate ones appeared later on. Usually printed in floral patterns whose layout and elements, including the background colour, changed over time.
