"Sono reMorphed" is an immersive implementation of the work "SonoMorphis" by Bernd Lintermann and Torsten Belschner from 1998. For the installation, research results on open systems of the authors in the field of computer technology were evaluated and implemented with graphics and sound. A three-dimensionally represented, organic object can be changed by visitors and viewed from different perspectives. Graphics and sound are inseparably linked. The space is constantly filled with new audiovisual bodies.
The stereoscopic images were shown on the "PanoramaScreen" of the ZKM | Institute for Visual Media. The 'Klangdom' of the ZKM | Institute for Music and Acoustics provided an extraordinary auditory experience with its immersive, 43-channel sound environment.
A co-production of ZKM | Institute for Music and Acoustics and ZKM | Institute for Visual Media.
