Rare type of spiral ornament from Cyprus. The upper end is in the form of a lion's head with open muzzle, set on a flat ring. The lower end is in the form of a petalled rosette made of filigree work. Such ornaments were most probably used as hair-coils, although we cannot exclude their use as earrings.
