Springtime in the Fountain Court at Mapperton

The Fountain Court at Mapperton created by Mrs Ethel Labouchere who lived here in the early 20th century has an italianate style typical of the period,relying on steps, terraces and topiary to provide structure in the garden. The Orangery at the top of the garden was built by the current owner's grandfather who wanted to grow tender and exotic plants.
