SR-71 “Blackbird” Simulator

Designed and built under total secrecy to train pilots to fly the top-secret SR-71 “Blackbird” reconnaissance aircraft, this simulator is the only one ever built. The SR-71 holds the record of the fastest and highest-flying jet aircraft built, capable of flying three times the speed of sound at over 80,000 feet. Due to the innovations of satellite imagery, the U.S. Air Force cancelled the SR-71 program in 1997. Every qualified “Blackbird” pilot spent hundreds of hours training to fly this unique aircraft in this very simulator.
