St.Parasceve the Great Martyr

Saint Paraskeva is depicted in a red maforia, symbolizing the martyr's sacrifice. In her right hand she holds a cross as a sign of loyalty to Christ, in her left - a scroll or a vessel with myrrh (in various versions). Her image personifies piety, purity and steadfastness in faith.
