Stamp and First Day Cover released in honour of Pioneer Geologist Prof. D.N. Wadia

In 1984, this Indian Postal Stamp was released in honour of Prof. D.N. Wadia's contribution to Geology. Earlier in 1951 a 2 anna postage stamp had also been issued to mark the centenary of the Geological Survey of India- this stamp featured the stegodon ganesa, the tusk discovered by Prof. Wadia.
