Among the exhibits on display, a sculpture of Emperor Augustus in military clothing from the end of the 1st century BC stands out. This sculpture is the largest of the group and is richly decorated with figural representations in high relief. On the emperor's armor next to Medusa's head we can see dolphins and Nereid nymphs riding on sea horses or hippocampus. The sculpture, like most of the others in the group, is made of Pentelic marble.
