Stanczyk, a wise jester, made a bet with King Sigismund I the Old. The jester pretended that his teeth hurt and asked for advice from Krakow's townspeople. Everyone, regardless of their profession, rushed to help him. Stańczyk wrote down everything and announced to the king that Krakow was a city of doctors.
