This steam locomotive is of Belgian origin and was built by Société John Cockerill in 1901. Like the steam locomotives of the CP 001 to CP 004 series, this small locomotive was used for shunting at stations and depots, but it is distinguished as being a model typical of the manufacturer Cockerill for shunting and industrial uses. Its special feature was a vertical boiler, which allowed for quick steaming. It was used until 1955, when it was taken out of service. In addition to their numbering, many of the locomotives received nicknames assigned by railwaymen themselves. This became known as "Maria Alice".
