The iconic two-seat Stearman "Kaydet" biplane served with distinction throughout World War II as a primary flight training aircraft for U.S. combat pilots. Designated PT-17 by the U.S. Army Air Corps and N2S by the U.S. Navy, Boeing Aircraft built over 10,000 Kaydets between 1936 and 1944. Following the war, Stearmans became popular for crop dusting due to their excellent low-speed flying characteristics. This particular Stearman served during WWII and underwent a complete restoration in 2012.
