Water lily detail on water pitcher spout. This ornate pitcher is part of a 48 piece set of coin silver which included a custom made walnut chest, coffee service,a grand tilting water kettle, cake, fruit, pickle and butter serving pieces. Originally ordered by Mr. Thomas Metcalf, the entire set cost $2510.00 in 1851.
