The painting, signed G.R., is part of Giuseppe Recco's catalogue. Recco is the most relevant artist within the 17th century Naples still-life painting. Various types of sea fish are placed on a stone surface, including sea bass, snapper and sea bream still with threads of seaweed around them, some crustaceans and a copper basin on the right side.
