Stories of Herentals

Artist Alain Welter decided to devote himself to the history of Herentals for this mural. Because cycling is very popular in this region, he illustrated the legendary cyclists (such as: Rik Van Looy, Wout van Aert and Sanne Cant) and also designed some animal characters to give the design a humorous touch. There is a constant alternation between portraits, urban landscape, botanical elements and typography. In this way different stories can be discovered.
