Stravinsky letter to Van Praag

24th Jan. 37 Dear Van Praag, Will you please kindly transmit the following message to the members of the Philharmonic Orchestra for me. The two weeks that I have had the honor of conducting your magnificent orchestra composed of such remarkable players and artists is drawing to an end. It ends also for me the great joy that I have deeply felt in working with them. I cannot express enough to them my gratitude for their sympathy and understanding towards me both as composer and as conductor. I take my leave of them with real emotion.
