Street Carousel

Here, Myers creates a colorful scene of everyday life in an ethnic neighborhood in lower Manhattan at the turn of the 20th century. He painted these views of the Lower East Side throughout his career, allowing the viewer to become a vicarious tourist in immigrant, urban New York.
