Leopoldstadt Temple was officially inaugurated six years after the founding of the community in 1852. With its magnificent façade, seating for 2,240 people and standing room for a further 1,500, it reflected the increased self-awareness of the rapidly growing community. This Sukkot holder was donated for the inauguration of the Temple and is now part of the Museum collection.
