Summer flamenco festival in Extremadura

The Autonomous Community of Extremadura also played a special role in the candidacy of flamenco for inclusion in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The gypsy settlements in Extremadura are at the origin of flamenco in the region, as are the livestock fairs, such as those in Mérida or Zafra.
