Sunshine After Snow

Shen Xinggong was born in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province in 1943, and graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, Nanjing Academy of Art in 1966. In 1981, he graduated with a Master's degree in oil painting from Nanjing Academy of Art and stayed in school to teach. He once served as vice president of Nanjing Academy of Art. In 1992, he was awarded a special government allowance by the State Council. Now he is a professor of Nanjing Academy of Art, director of the Chinese Oil Painting Society, honorary chairman of Jiangsu Oil Painting Society and chairman of the Art Committee. This work intersperses long or short, bright or dark lines, giving stronger artistic meaning and interest composed of brush strokes, texture and color, thus greatly enhancing the emotional factors of painting language, making the picture more artistic appeal and more interesting.
