This Buddhist scripture which was written to cure the disease by the help of Buddha is also called ‘Yaksagyeong’. In 1102 (Geontong 2), Gyojang office in Daeheungwang temple published it. As for the binding, the whole book has 58 pages, and each page has 6 lines, and one line consists of 15 letters. Underneath the first book’s title, a letter ‘Guk’ is written. Seen from the contents and form, this book seems to have been a wood engraving from the Kitai Sutras, and now that hardly any Kitai Sutras is found today, this one remains a valuable material.

  • Korean caption: 부처님의 힘을 빌어 질병 치유를 기원하기 위한 불교 경전으로 보통 ‘약사경’이라고 한다. 1102년(乾統 2) 고려 대흥왕사(大興王寺) 교장도감(敎藏都監)에서 간행된 것이다. 장정형태는 선장(線裝)으로 1책 29장 58면이고, 한 면에 6행씩 한 행의 자수는 15자로 되어 있다. 권수(卷首)의 경전 명칭 아래에 천자문질호(千字文軼號)인 ‘국(鞠)’자가 기재되어 있다. 내용과 외적인 형태를 보았을 때 거란대장경을 모본으로 하여 판각된 것으로 추정되며, 현재 거란대장경의 현존본이 거의 없는 상태에서 귀중한 자료가 된다.
