Swan Hunter shipyard, Wallsend, Newcastle Upon Tyne

Originating in the 19th century, Swan Hunter was responsible for some of the greatest ships built in England. The company had three main shipyards on the north bank of the River Tyne, the Neptune Yard at Walker-on-Tyne, the Wallsend Yard and the Naval Yard at High Walker.
