A scene of the traditional Shinto ritual known as Yokagura. The fourth dance is called the Goshintai no Mai (“The Dance of the Sacred Objects”). This is also called the Dance of the Birth of the Nation, where gods Izanagi and Izanami create sake, drink it together, and embrace, symbolizing marital happiness.
