Takano Shuzo is a brewery that manufactures sake locally alongside nature in Niigata. It was founded in 1899 and is located near the Sakata Wetland that was registered in the Ramsar Convention. Surrounded by this abundance of nature, this brewery uses low-temperature techniques to produce a variety of sake ranging from premium daiginjo to standard sake. This brewery not only makes sake but also produces shochu spirits and plum sake.
