Tangsa community is an ethnic community of north-east India. This photograph is of New Yumchum village in Changlang district of eastern Arunachal Pradesh. They are a very colourful community with gorgeous bright coloured dresses, ornaments and weaves of specific patterns and colours signifying their identity. The women traditionally wear a wrap around skirt, a top, a stole and head gears made of fabric, accompanied with different types of necklaces, earrings, bangles, and garland for their hair buns.
