Teddy bear, made of pale yellow plush, with paws made of a discoloured and worn beige-coloured cotton. It has black button eyes, black stitched nose and mouth, and wears a length of brown rayon ribbon round its neck, tied in a bow. The bear has jointed limbs, and the head swivels. It has large plush ears, and pointed nose, and a slight lump on its back. There is a growler inside the torso. The paws appear to have been quite crudely stuck down, and are possibly repairs or replacements. This bear was the bequest of Miss A.E. Doherty of York, who was given it in 1914 by her father just before he went off to war.
