The terrace of the home belonging to socialite Gloria Guinness and her husband, Loel Guinness, designed by Mexican architect, Marco Antonio Aldaco. The open "palapa" and adjoining terrace is covered in a roof of palm fronds. The pillows decorating the floor were made from embroidered Oaxaca dresses that Gloria found in a local market. The floor of the terraces and stairs were hammered in order to give the concrete the appearance of beaten marble.
