Tethis Mosaic

Knots and diamond shapes, trace a composition of squares and rectangles, at the centre of which is the face of Tethis, framed in a frieze of algae. Marine elements emerge from the head, such as seaweed or crab claws as corresponds to this ocean God; and a serpent is wrapped around his neck.
