Length of woven furnishing fabric, jacquard woven, tabby woven woollen double cloth, repeating design vertically and horizontally of birds, flowers and foliage. Dark blue ground with design predominantly in light blue, and cream with touches of pale green and pale pink. The design consists of a row of flower heads with fanned out leaves, then a row of pairs of standing birds with heads turned back, then a row of pairs of standing birds, then a row of sunflowers, then another row of pairs of birds facing each other with wings raised. The ground between the main design is filled with small rosettes and stylized foliage. Pattern repeat vertically 61.5 cm. The surface has a slight relief effect.
