The Annunciation. The Virgin Mary

The Archangel Gabriel informs the Virgin Mary “the Good News” about the birth of the Divine Child, the Saviour of Humanity. The Archangel Gabriel blesses the Virgin Mary with his right hand. There is an inscription in Greek near the figure of the Archangel: “Hail, Virgin full of grace, the Lord is with Thee”. The portrayal of Mary is accompanied by inscription: “Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word”. The Virgin Mary prepares a red yarn for the veil of the Temple in Jerusalem.
