Dutch public broadcasting history goes back uninterrupted to November 1919, when radio pioneer Hans Idzerda started his first experimental radio broadcasts. Idzerda expert Pieter Bakker showcases Idzerda's FM transmitter, the PCGG, which is kept at The Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision in Hilversum. Bakker explains what was needed for this groundbreaking innovation in radio to come to pass.
