Stained-glass window V07 of Milan Duomo is dedicated to two much-loved figures from the Milanese Church, Cardinal Andrea Carlo Ferrari (Archbishop of Milan from 1894 to 1921) and Cardinal Alfredo Ildefonso Schuster (Archbishop of Milan from 1929 to 1954), who were beatified shortly after the creation of this invaluable work. Artist Giovanni Hajnal, to whom the stained-glass window was commissioned, depicts the two archbishops making monumental gestures, surrounded by the virtue that inspired their deeds and respective episcopates. Window 7 has been in place since 1988 and is the newest stained-glass window to be made for the Duomo. In the 1950s, Hajnal had already had the opportunity to collaborate with the Veneranda Fabbrica when he made the three upper windows of the counter-façade.
