In 1895, the Sydney Cricket and Sports Grounds erected the 'Terrace Pavilion' on the eastern side of the Sydney Cricket Ground. Later known as the Bob Stand, (so- called because its admission price was one shilling or a ‘bob’), the stand stood for much of the twentieth century having been removed in the early 1980's for construction of the Hills Stand in 1984. The original stand was relocated to the North Sydney Oval and is still in use today.
