The Cathedral Of San Giovanni Battista

After the 1693's earthquake, the church was rebuilt in the heart of the new town of Ragusa. The first stone was established on April 15th, 1694 and it was completed in four months. It was a small church that could not satisfy the needs of a growing population that's why the works of expansion and restoration took place in 1718.
