Walcot was an architect as well as an artist, demonstrated here by his linear style and acute attention to capturing architectural details. He was known for depicting other architects’ work but he was also recognised for his own projects. Walcot, along with his contemporary Cyril Farey, was one of the most sought after architectural illustrators of the 1920 and 30s.
