The Color Strength

Maria André was born in Valongo, Porto and started her artistic work in 1973. Studied Technology, Design and Painting in the Artistic School Árvore, Porto and had lessons with various renowned teachers. Had individual exhibitions in places like The Sopete Hotel in Ofir, in the Town Hall of Valongo, or in the UNESCO Center of Porto.
“A Força da Cor” (The Color Strength)- Is through it, that attracts me develop the work, starting to slip on the white canvas, with the aid of a brush or spatula, and then it takes shape and color. That was how this work began and ended in my studio.
