This facsimile of the artist is programmed to crawl for a period of 38 years, after which time it will die. This act of virtual death is incited by the Artificial Intelligence prediction that the corporeal artist has only 38 years more of life. F*ck you AI, says the artist. Two can play at this game. The modelled version of the artist is his digital familiar. It exists to take his pain, humiliation, and suffering and hopefully will die in his stead. The artwork speculates upon relationships between time and life and the digital existence. At this point in the artist’s life, he is interested in humiliation. If he can claim it, he might avoid it.
