The Curved Walls of Kuélap

Inside the site of the monumental nucleus of Kuelap different platforms isolate specific areas of the ceremonial center. The technique used by the Chachapoya builders to erect these platforms sustaining the buildings, take into consideration not only the shape of the slopes but also the curved aesthetics of the area, which is enhanced by the geometric linear pattern of the stonemasonry.
