Outside the Emmons family home in Clifton, Staten Island. The man at the carriage is Mr. John Francis Emmons while his son, Kintzing, accompanies him on horseback.

John Emmons worked as a stockbroker in Manhattan and also served as president of the Staten Island Rapid Transit Company and as vice president of the First National Bank of Staten Island. Like his father, Kintzing Emmons was also a stockbroker in Manhattan. (Staten Island Historical Society)
