In the Bible Adam and Eve are the first people God created, and the only ones who ever lived in paradise. God forbid them to eat from the Tree of Knowledge, but a snake kept coaxing Eve until she finally convinced Adam to taste the fruit of this tree. Both then recognized their own nakedness, and were banned from paradise in punishment for their disobedience.
