Glencairn Museum

Glencairn Museum
Bryn Athyn, United States

The Pitcairn Flight into Egypt, portraying the Holy Family journeying to Egypt to escape the massacre ordered by King Herod (Matthew 2:13-15), is one of the best preserved surviving stained-glass panels from Abbot Suger’s reconstruction of the choir of the Abbey Church of Saint-Denis. It formed part of the Infancy of Christ window. (See External Link.)
