The folly at Plas Brondanw

When architect Clough Williams Ellis was offered a piece of silver as a wedding present by his fellow officers in the Welsh Guards in 1913 he asked instead for a folly and, in 1915, built Pentwr as a ruined castle on the hills above the house.
