The British royal family rarely visit Balmoral Castle in the Springtime. Traditionally, the castle is a place for summer holidays. The castle was built for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in the 1850s and the royal couple enjoyed regular summer breaks when Victoria would sketch and take long walks and Prince Albert would stalk the native red deer and fish.
