The Great Hall forms part of the The Great Quadrangle, or Tom Quadrangle, at Christ Church College. The earliest part of the Quadrangle, including The Great Hall, dates to 1529. The roof of the Hall was probably made by the master-carpenter Humphrey Coke. It has been described as 'the last and one of the finest works of medieval carpentry'.
