The Holy Staircase of Santa Maria del Monte

For several years in May the Holy Staircase offers a particular show with the impressive "Infiorata"; thousands of vases with plants and flowers in different shades of colors that make together a single drawing in honor of the Madonna di Conadomini to whom the church at the top of the Staircase is titled. In July the nights are dedicated to St. James and in August the days dedicated to the Madonna del Ponte. The Holy Staircase is a real attraction with about four thousand colored lights shining along the stair. At Christmas , The Holy Stair is protagonist with the preparation of a nativity scene and during the Holy Week with the staging of the Via Crucis.
