The Lamplighter from Wrocław

Many say that gas lanterns lit by the local lamplighter add much to the magic of Ostrów Tumski. Over time, the lamplighter became a tourist attraction, although he never sought "fame". He walks around Ostrów Tumski in a black cape and top hat. He puts out the lamps at dawn and lights them again every evening. He became an informal symbol of the city.
