The Royal Pavilion, also known as the Brighton Pavilion, was originally a late 18th-century farmhouse. It was transformed into a residence for the Prince of Wales (later George IV) between 1787 and 1823. The Music Room was completed in 1817-22/3 and was decorated by artist Robert Jones
