The Sejm - Polish Parliament

An allegorical composition, a replica of the well-known topic of the gathering of noble citizens in voivodship uniforms, introduced by a resolution of the Sejm in 1776. In the election field, framed by a frieze with the coats of arms of provinces, lands and fiefs of the Commonwealth, 31 figures without individualization in clothes symbolizing the deputies of voivodships after the First Partition of Poland. In front of the marshal's tent there is a group of three deputies - deputies to the Senate, from the Wielkopolska, Małopolska and Lithuanian provinces, with the act of electing the marshal. The lower one, supported by two lions of the coat of arms of the city of Kraków (the place of the coronation Sejm).
