The Orange Line

Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority 1178 and 1179 (Boston) at Seashore Trolley Museum

Boston has four subway tunnels, each one built at different times with dramatically different dimensions. #1176 and #1177 are from the Washington Street Subway (Orange Line) which originally ran on an elevated structure north to Sullivan Square and Everett Station, and on another elevated structure south to Forest Hills Station. Both 'elevated' ends of the line have since been totally replaced with new lines running in somewhat new locations.
